Tesla recalls again in the United States! Windshield defrost performance or decline, involving more than 20,000 vehicles

On February 10, Nandu reporters learned from the official website of the National Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) that Tesla will recall 26,681 vehicles in the United States.

The recall report shows that the recall is due to a defect in the windshield defrost software, which may lead to a decrease in the defrost performance of the windshield, and in some cases the visibility will be reduced, resulting in a risk of collision.

The recall includes some Model 3s produced in 2021-2022, Model S, Model X and some Model Y produced in 2020-2022, for a total of 26,681 units. Tesla will provide car owners with a free over-the-air software update service.

According to Nandu's previous report, in early February, the official website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a Tesla safety recall report saying that Tesla was conducting safety recalls of more than 817,000 vehicles in the United States because of problems with the seat belt tips of the vehicles. Models covered in the recall include the Tesla 2021-2022 Model S and Model X, the 2017-2022 Model 3 and the 2020-2022 Model Y. It is reported that the recall is one of the largest in Tesla's history.
