Beiqing: The Football Association convenes a referee committee, and the referee management work will be unified by the Football Association Referee Committee

According to the Beijing Youth Daily, the recently held 11th Referee Committee of the Chinese Football Association means that the next domestic football referee management work will be unified under the rule of the Chinese Football Association Referee Committee.

The first meeting of the 11th Referee Committee held on January 20 deliberated and adopted the newly revised "Work Specifications for the Referee Committee of the Chinese Football Association", "Measures for the Administration of Referees of the Chinese Football Association", "Measures for the Supervision and Administration of Referees of the Chinese Football Association" and other rules and regulations related to the management of referees. The meeting confirmed that Sun Baojie, the former international referee, served as the director of the 11th referee committee of the association, Yang Zhiqiang served as the deputy director, and Tao Rancheng, Tan Hai, Hu Jianhong, Niu Huijun, Yao Qing, Liu Qingwei, Zhao Liang, Su Jige, and Geng Zhiwei served as members. Liu Tiejun, director of the Referee Department of the Chinese Football Association, serves as executive secretary.

The most important agenda item of this meeting is the official launch of the 9 special working groups of the Chinese Football Association's Referee Committee. These 9 working groups correspond to 9 specific work contents such as "evaluation, training, selection, supervision and evaluation, women's football referee work, rules and regulations, scientific research and information, futsal and beach football refereeing, VAR work, and member associations". On the afternoon of February 9, the Chinese Football Association officially announced through the official announcement that the 11th Referee Committee of the Association officially established these nine working groups, with the intention of cultivating a team of judges with clean style and exquisite skills.

An industry insider analyzed that the convening of this meeting sent an obvious signal, that is, the next Chinese Football Association or domestic football referee management work will be unified under the rule of the Chinese Football Association Referee Committee, from the preparation of various work, to the implementation, to the management and supervision, the Committee will give full play to its professionalism and the authority of the management of referee work.

Among the nine working groups of the FA Committee, there are selected working groups and review working groups. This means that the selection and evaluation of referees for all events and sequences of men's and women's football competitions sponsored by the Chinese Football Association, including the Chinese Super League, China First Division, China Second Division and THE FA Cup, will be led by the Referee Committee of the Chinese Football Association, rather than being implemented separately in each competition category (project) as in the past.
