It is understood that in 1991, seven peasant households contracted a barren mountain from the village for a period of 30 years, with 10% of the annual income as the contract fee. The contract has been performed for 30 years, and in 2021, the new villagers' committee will re-issue contracts to others on the grounds that the contract expired and the seven plaintiffs performed the contract irregularly. But at this time, the barren mountains are no longer barren, and the mountains are full of fruit trees that have been twenty or even thirty years old... In order to find a solution, Liu Changkuan went up the mountain to inspect the fruit trees, went down to the ground to consult the fruit farmers, and repeatedly went to the village to look for the successive village directors and village party secretaries in the past thirty years, and even looked for the village group leader and the representative of the village committee one by one... For a month, Liu Changkuan walked 20,000 steps a day, and finally found the crux of the problem and persuaded the two sides to jointly negotiate a solution. In the end, The village organized a villagers' congress, passed the resolution of the village committee, and the mountain continued to contract, but according to the judge's professional suggestions, a more standardized contract fee payment plan was adjusted, and the case was finally closed with the plaintiff withdrawing the lawsuit. The case was settled, and several parties talked about the judge's efforts, which are still remembered today. Liu Changkuan laughed and said that the people were satisfied with their own hard work.
