IT House February 10 news, Sony has detailed their PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles of the latest system software beta, which will be launched later today.
There are a lot of new updates and improvements in this latest Beta 3.0-05.00.00 beta system update, but the eye-catching feature is the new "Voice Command" option, which is being rolled out to PlayStation 5 users in regions such as the United States and the United Kingdom.
This new feature allows you to use your voice to find and open games, apps, and settings, as well as control media playback on your host console. All you need to do is enable the "Voice Commands (Preview)" option in the settings menu and start shouting "Hey, PlayStation!" to your console! ”
Since this new feature is in the "early beta phase," it may not work perfectly every time, and it may not work well with a certain accent, so be aware of this when you yell at the PS5 console in your living room over and over again.
Thankfully, for PlayStation users outside the US and UK, it's not just voice commands that're being introduced in this latest beta, there are plenty of improvements in party chat and accessibility features.
Once the beta system update is available, players on The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles will be able to start parties in an open or closed state, and thanks to the new visual indicators that recognize who is talking, they can better report what is being said at the party.
The GameStation 5's game base menu is also being updated, simplifying tabs and categories to better keep your friends, messages, and parties (previously voice chat) tabs.
In addition, this beta system update introduces new UI features for PlayStation 5 that allow players to filter their game collections by type, as well as keep selected games and apps on their home screen for ease of use.
The PlayStation 5's virtual trophy feature card and trophy list have also been visually overhauled to look imposing.
Finally, Sony has also improved mono audio for headphones, as well as more screen reader languages to increase accessibility. With the addition of Russian, Arabic, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Korean, the PlayStation 5's screen reader can now be used in 15 languages.
