Pukou Ecological and Environmental Bureau won the highest honor of the district's annual comprehensive assessment

Recently, the Pukou Ecological and Environmental Bureau won the two honors of "the first class of the comprehensive assessment of Pukou District in 2021" and "the advanced collective of high-quality development of Pukou District in 2021".

In 2021, under the strong leadership of the provincial department, the municipal bureau, the district party committee and the district government, the ecological environment work in Pukou will closely focus on the annual goals and tasks to build high-quality development, really do solid work, overcome difficulties, work hard, and further promote pollution control, successfully complete the goals and tasks, and achieve a good start in the "14th Five-Year Plan".

First, the quality of the atmospheric environment continues to improve. The average annual concentration of PM2.5 was 23.7 μg/m3, down 9.5% year-on-year. It ranks first among the 95 state control points in the province and second compared with 54 provincial control points. For five consecutive years, it has maintained the lowest level in Nanjing; the air quality improvement rate is 83%, higher than the city's average of 82.2%, ranking third in the city and second in the suburbs.

Second, the quality of the water environment continues to remain stable. The proportion of surface water provincial examination sections reaching or better than Class III water quality in the whole year is 100%, the cumulative average water quality of 7 municipal examination sections is 100%, and the proportion of water quality of 4 tributaries entering the river is 100%.

Third, the construction of ecological civilization has reached a new level. The ecological status index has been steadily improved for three consecutive years, and it has been successfully selected as the fifth batch of demonstration areas for the construction of ecological civilization in the country, with the highest comprehensive assessment score among the five declared counties and cities in the province.

Fourth, the environmental security situation is stable and improving. The total number of petitions decreased by 51.7% compared with 2020, with a satisfaction rate of 98.1%; the central and provincial ecological and environmental protection inspectors handed over 4 rectification matters and 94 petition problems were all completed; and no mass incidents caused by environmental problems occurred throughout the year.

Fifth, there are many typical cases of pollution control. Adhere to accurate pollution control, scientific pollution control, and pollution management according to law, and deeply fight the battle against pollution. The "Story of Tackling Tough Problems" and the micro-film won the first and third prizes of the Provincial Tough Tackling Office respectively, and the District Tackling Tough Office was rated as an advanced collective in the province's publicity work to fight the tough battle against pollution.

Adhere to precise pollution control, scientific pollution control, and pollution management according to law, fight the battle to defend blue sky, clear water and pure land with higher standards, implement the ecological protection and restoration of the Yangtze River, continue to improve the modernization level of the ecological environment governance system and governance capabilities, promote high-quality development with high-level protection, and make due contributions to the construction of modern Pukou.
