GAC Group's vehicle sales in January were 237,000 units, up 9.2% y/y

Jiwei Network News (Text/Zhang Lin) On February 8, GUANGZHOU AUTOMOBILE Group issued a document saying that its january automobile production was 218,600 units, an increase of 14% year-on-year, and sales were 237,000 units, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year. Sales of new energy vehicles increased by 19,121 units, an increase of 115.21%; GAC Aean sold 16,031 units, an increase of 117%; GAC Trumpchi sold 36,564 units, an increase of 13.7% month-on-month; GAC Honda sold 78,489 units, an increase of 1.1% year-on-year; GAC Toyota sold 99,900 units, an increase of 11.3% year-on-year. Another 8 models sold more than 10,000, of which the Camry series sold 28,023 units. GAC Group said that in the new year, it will fully challenge the goal of 15% year-on-year growth in automobile production and sales.

In 2021, GAC Group overcame various risks and challenges such as the impact of the epidemic, chip shortage, power outages and power rationing, and extreme weather, adhered to steady progress and stable quality improvement, and achieved automobile production and sales of 2.138 million units and 2.144 million vehicles in the whole year, an increase of 5.1% and 4.9% year-on-year, respectively, which was 1.7 and 1.1 percentage points better than the industry, respectively. The main indicators such as the gross industrial output value, Guangzhou's local output value, operating income, and total profit exceeded the expected targets, and achieved a good start in the "14th Five-Year Plan".

In view of this year's work, Zeng Qinghong, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of the group, demanded that, first, we should improve our political standing and ensure a "good start"; second, we should focus on key and difficult points and dare to gnaw on "hard bones); third, we should strengthen our sense of responsibility and fight the "active battle"; fourth, we should give play to the leadership of party building and show our "spirit".
