The Subaru BRZ Cup Car Basic is equipped with the most basic 16-inch steel rim, after all, aluminum rings and tires are the first steps to be modified as a racing car. Under the hood is a 2.4-litre horizontally opposed four-cylinder naturally inlet engine that produces a maximum horsepower of 232 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm, power is transmitted to the rear wheel limited slip differential through a six-speed manual transmission, fins are added to the outer cover of the limited slip differential to help dissipate heat, and the engine is increased by an oil cooler to help cool down and make it more suitable for track use.
The BRZ Cup Car Basic is only sold to Japanese teams and drivers who are expected to compete in the 2022 Gazoo Racing GR86/BRZ Championship. Five races are expected in the championship, with the first race taking place at the Mt. Fuji Circuit on July 16-17.
