The National Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on February 8 local time that Kia Motors America recalled 126747 vehicles in the United States on the grounds that the hydraulic electronic control unit (HECU) may fail and cause an electrical short circuit, which in turn causes a fire in the engine compartment.
