On February 8, the reporter came to a licensed production enterprise in Qidong, the packaging workshop was extremely busy, and the workers were putting on a soft food-grade silicone coat for the "ice pier". After putting it on, grab the package and wait for it to be sent. As the "ice pier" quickly became popular with a cute image, triggering a rush of buying in the whole society, the company continued to receive urgent orders from retailers.

Yuan Yinghui, deputy general manager of a licensed production enterprise in Nantong Qidong, told reporters that the company received an urgent order for 7,000 sets of ice piers from Beijing retailers during the Spring Festival, so it immediately resumed work and production, convened employees to work overtime immediately to drive out this batch of goods, and increased working hours to top the output.

In September 2019, the mascot of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games was launched, and the company received an invitation from the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee to participate in the design of the plush dolls of the Beijing Winter Olympics mascot "Ice Pier" and "Snow Rongrong". The birth of mascot plush dolls must go through a series of tedious processes, plate opening, embroidery, printing, cutting, sewing, binding, packaging... From floor plans to finished dolls, it is necessary to constantly polish and repeatedly compare and improve to fully ensure that the quality and appearance meet the original design requirements.

Wang Danfeng, director of the design department of a licensed production enterprise in Nantong Qidong, told reporters that the "ice pier" is different from the previous mascot, because the most important thing is to create a feeling of ice, through 3 to 4 times of proofing and review, and finally decided to use a food-grade silicone shell to create a feeling of ice.
