In the first two rounds of the skating on the evening of February 5, although the German and Austrian bobsleigh players took the lead in the race, the excellent performance of these athletes did not affect van Duoyao's state. The two-wheeled glide Fan Duoyao started smoothly and powerfully, fully controlling the balance of the body in the handling of several corners, without obvious mistakes, and the first two rounds of skating reached 58.848.88.00 and 58.883.88. In the six training matches held from February 2 to 4, Fan Duoyao's performance did not exceed 59 seconds, and in the three rounds of skating in the two days of the competition, Fan Duoyao slid into 58 seconds, which made him very happy. Born in 1997, Fan Duoyao is the captain of the Chinese bobsleigh team. In the men's single event of the 2021-2022 Bobsleigh National Cup held in November last year, Fan Duoyao finished 17th and successfully qualified for the Yanqing World Cup, which is also the first time that a Chinese athlete has qualified for the main event and created the history of Chinese bobsleigh sports.

On the evening of February 10, Fan Duoyao will also participate in the bobsleigh team relay event with his teammates.
