From January to December 2021, the lexus brand sold 760,012 units worldwide (up 6% year-on-year), surpassing last year's performance and showing a recovery trend. Regionally, sales in North America totaled 332,000 units (up 12% yoy) and Chinese mainland and Hong Kong reached an all-time high of 227,000 units (up 1% yoy), driving a rebound in global sales. In terms of models, due to the strong performance of ES, RX and UX hybrid models, sales of electrified models reached about 260,000 units (up 10% year-on-year), a record high.

In addition, as the first product in the next chapter of the LEXUS Lexus brand, the new generation of NX brings leXUS's first plug-in hybrid model, providing a practical and effective electrification solution that is adapted to local conditions. Faced with the new challenge of achieving a "carbon neutral" society, LEXUS plans to achieve a pure electric version of all its models by 2030, and to take the lead in achieving sales of 100% pure electric vehicles in China, Europe and North America, achieving a global sales target of 1 million units. In addition, LEXUS plans to achieve 100% pure electric vehicle sales worldwide by 2035. LEXUS will continue to build products that meet the diverse needs and lifestyles of its customers.

Global sales in 2021:

North America: Approximately 332,000 units (y/y)

Chinese mainland and Hong Kong: around 227,000 units (up 1% yoy)

Europe: Approximately 72,000 units (up 2% y/y)

Japan: Approximately 51,000 units (up 4% y/y)

Middle East: Approximately 28,000 units (up 3% y/y)

Other East Asian countries and regions: Approximately 30,000 units (down 5% y/y)
