He scored 41.93 points in the second round and finished first out of 30 players to advance to the final.

The qualifying round is divided into two rounds, each player takes their own best result, and the top 12 players with the best results will advance to the final. Su Yiming, who played in the 28th place, easily scored a first-round high of 86.80, 8.04 points ahead of second place Sean Fitzsimmons, and temporarily ranked first. In the second round, Su Yiming played easily, although there were mistakes in the game, it did not affect his smooth qualification for the final.

The 17-year-old Su Yiming is on the Olympic court for the first time, and this is also the first time that China has qualified for the Olympic Games. Su Yiming advanced strongly with his super stable performance, achieving a historic breakthrough for the Chinese team in this project.

The men's steeplechase finals will be played at 12:00 on February 7.
