Entering 2022, the rumors about the various new products that Apple is preparing to launch this year continue, and the latest news breaks that it is expected that at Apple's autumn conference in the second half of this year, its new product lineup will be the largest and most hardware products in Apple's history.
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gruman broke the news in the latest issue of the column that Apple expects to hold a fall conference in the second half of the year, including as many as nine categories of products, in addition to the high-profile new generation of iPhone 14 series, in wireless headphones, tablets, smart watches, notebooks and desktops and other product lines will usher in updates, a total number of at least 14 models.
Mark Gurman said that the list of Apple's new products to be unveiled in the second half of 2022 is expected to include: 4 new iPhone machines (iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max), upgraded AirPods Pro 2, 3 Apple Watch watches (Series 8, SE and Rugged), entry-level iPad, and a new generation of flagship tablets iPad Pro, entry-level MacBook Pro, redesigned MacBook Air, large-screen iMac, new computer console Mac Pro, and more.
According to Gurman, most of the new products are expected to launch in the fall, but the iMac is likely to launch sooner. Apple will hold a spring event in March or April every year, and Apple may use the spring event to bring the M1 Pro chip to another Mac, which may be a higher-end iMac or Mac mini, and then there will be a 5G iPhone SE 3, a new iPad Air with A15 chips, and so on.
Mark Gruman speculates that the upcoming iPad Pro will be equipped with an M2 chip and wireless charging, which is likely to be unveiled in the fall. However, Apple has submitted regulatory documents for nine new iPads and three new iPhone models, so the updated iPad in the spring conference in March and April may be more than one Air 5.
Apple also plans to launch its AR/VR headset in 2022, but rumors suggest the debut of the device may have been postponed until 2023, as there are still some issues to be addressed.
But in the previous iOS 15.4 beta, developers have found the internal code of Apple AR and VR, including the developer API, and the ability of web applications to send push notifications to iOS users, which also hints that Apple's AR/VR headset is getting closer and closer to us.
