Gu Tian You Da Long Memories of the Year
Gutian Tour Dalong is a local traditional folk activity in Gutian Town. Originated in the Ming Dynasty during the Wanli Dynasty, it has a history of more than 400 years, and is intended to pray for smooth wind and rain and abundant grain. In 2012, Gutian You Dalong broke the Guinness World Record for the longest parade float.

More than 200 knots and kilometers of long dragons snake through the countryside and alleys, moving ups and downs, and vividly appearing. Along the way, men, women and children flocked to each other, back and forth, left and right, and the dragon procession was huge and long, and it was very lively. Everywhere you go, you can burn pines in front of your home, light incense candles, set fruit tea, and set off firecrackers to welcome "the dragon travels to the earth and is happy to go to the world."
The production process of "Lianshi Paper" has been passed down for more than 400 years
The "Lianshi paper" used by Gutian You Dalong, also known as Liansi paper, is a kind of high-grade bamboo handmade paper, which is native to Fujian and Jiangxi. The paper of Lianshi paper is white, thin and uniform, heat-proof and durable, and because of its excellent quality of durability, it is known as "shou paper millennium".
Deng Jinkun, the inheritor of the Lianshi paper production process in Fujian Province, said that the bamboo fiber of Lianshi paper is shorter than that of rice paper, so its durability change value can reach 2.8%. He also felt the charm of Lian Shi Paper, so he became a craftsman.
Master Deng said that in ancient times, it was the use of moso bamboo to sell bamboo paper overseas, so bamboo paper became a bulk export commodity of the Maritime Silk Road, so a large amount of silver was exchanged, so the town of Gutian, which made bamboo paper, was also called "Jingutian", and Juxi was called "Silver" Juxi.
But now the inheritance of "LianShi Paper" is facing difficulties.
