AMD RX 6x50 XT Collective Exposure: Beyond the RTX 3090 Ti?

The next-generation RX 7000 series graphics cards with AMD 5/6nm process and RNDA3 architecture will not be released until the end of the year, and in this nearly one year, AMD graphics cards will not be completely idle, but will launch an upgraded version of the RX 6x50 XT series as a transition.

According to current rumors, the new graphics card includes at least three new models of RX 6950 XT, RX 6850 XT, RX 6750 XT, and possibly RX 6850.

Their common feature is that the frequency of GDDR6 memory has been upgraded from 16GHz to 18GHz (now only the RX 6900 XT water-cooled version and RX 6500 XT are so high), and there may also be a core frequency increase.

It was expected that they would upgrade to the 6nm process, as in the entry-level Navi 24 RX 6500 XT, RX 6400, but according to the latest exact news, this does not exist, and the RX 6x50 XT series is still the core of the 7nm process.

There are many theories about the release time, @Greymon55 the news is that it will be released in June and July, which is exactly during the Taipei Computer Show, and @coreteks claims that the RX 6950 XT will be launched in mid-April, and other models are unknown, and may not even exist at all.

Moore's Law Is Dead even made a surprising point: after the RX 6x50 series upgrades the video memory, combined with other changes, the performance can increase by 10% or more, and the RX 6950 XT is expected to surpass the RTX 3090 Ti and regain the card throne!
