A beam of light, a shadow for big friends and children to play until they can't stop, Shanghai Puppet Theatre During the Spring Festival, the new space new art - puppet BOX immersive experience drama "Into Light and Shadow", which is a new concept performing arts project developed by the Cienles Puppet Show Center since the first anniversary of the reopening of the museum.
Using light and shadow as an art form, Shanghai Puppet Theatre Troupe takes exploration and experience as the core from the audience's perspective to stimulate the artistic perception of small audiences. The 45-minute zero-distance contact makes many young viewers reluctant to leave the mysterious and infinite world of light and shadow. For the first time, the immersive experience drama project of New Space Puppet BOX takes the theme of light and shadow exploration, pulls out layers of tree shadows, and follows the "light treader" to experience a period of novel puppet art. "Into the Light and Shadow" is just as the puppet BOX was conceived when it was built, and the audience can personally open the "magic box" of puppet art - the combination of game and drama, and then the code before admission and the immersive feeling of no fixed seat, breaking the conventional relationship between the audience and the performance. In this artistic experience, as long as you have enough imagination, you can really join the plot and performance. Each performance is a joint creation between the audience and the actors, and "cannot be copied" is the artistic charm of the puppet BOX. The show was so popular that two more performances were added temporarily.
The audience, especially the children, were very excited after watching it: "Today's whole experience I feel very dreamy, I also got close to the art of light and shadow, which has a lot of optical and physical principles" "What I learned today, I can share with my classmates when I go back."
With the implementation of the double reduction policy, the Shanghai Puppet Troupe has increased its exploration efforts and continuously dug deeper into the double role of artistic function and social influence; from the third to the sixth day of the Chinese New Year, 18 wonderful puppet performances, 8 handicraft experiences and 4 days of intangible cultural heritage markets were prepared for the public at the Xianlesi Puppet Show Center.
During the Spring Festival, the Huaihai Middle Road Community Cultural Activity Center also prepared an online live broadcast of the "Cultural Comfort and New Year Warmth" activity for the public. In order to let more people better enjoy this "cultural feast", the live broadcast was jointly created by the Huaihai Middle Road Community Cultural Activity Center, shanghai light music troupe and Huaihai Chamber of Commerce, and broadcast simultaneously on the "Shanghai Huangpu" and "Baidu Live" platforms.
The performance was hosted by Dong Deping, head of the Shanghai Light Music Troupe, and opened with the Huaihai Xingye Orchestra's instrumental performance "My Motherland and Me". The Allegro "New Year" of the Revival Literary and Art Team and the "Red Heart Building Dream" of the Sister Flower Dance Troupe show the literary and artistic level of the community team, and also express everyone's blessings for the New Year and the praise of the motherland.
The "Cultural Comfort , New Year Warmth" campaign was launched in 2014, suspended in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of the epidemic, and restarted in 2022 as an online broadcast. In addition to making community residents, especially the lonely and elderly living alone, feel the care and warmth of this year's activities as in the past, this year's activities also gave this "cultural feast" to those who still stick to the front line of work during the Spring Festival, who either do not leave Shanghai because of the epidemic instead of necessity, or work on the front line because of the epidemic. After the program was broadcast, Huaihai residents and white-collar workers left messages and interacted on the live broadcast platform. Some cleaning workers, medical staff and volunteer representatives who are still working on the front line said that they felt very happy to enjoy such a program after working overtime during the Spring Festival.
