At about 2:00 a.m. on September 27, the police on duty at the Shuangjiang Police Station of the Jiangkou County Public Security Bureau answered the phone during the night patrol and prevention and control, saying: "Someone is fishing at the Wangjiashan Hydropower Station Dam in Qixin Village, Shuangjiang Street." After receiving the report, the police on duty at the Shuangjiang police station immediately notified the fishery administration department, and organized the police force to drive to the scene, and after arriving at the scene, they found that there were faint lights flashing near the dam. The police went forward to check and found 2 men collecting illegal fishing tools and preparing to flee the scene. The police immediately took control of him and took him back to the police station for interrogation.
After investigation, at about 00:30 on September 27, the suspect Chen XX invited Xiao XX, a fellow villager, to come to the river under the dam of the Wangjiashan Hydropower Station in Qixin Village, Shuangjiang Street, thinking that the moon was dark and windy, and the people in the middle of the night would not be discovered, and they did not want to be caught by the police. After questioning, Chen X and 2 people confessed to the criminal facts of illegal fishing for aquatic products in the prohibited area.
At present, the Jiangkou police have opened a criminal investigation into the case, and the relevant cases are being further handled.
