The Dominican derby is the best derby and hopefully wears a Milan shirt forever

Milan Circle

In the early morning of February 6, Beijing time, the 24th round of Serie A will usher in the high-profile Milan derby, DAZN TV also conducted a warm-up interview with the two main defenders of Milan, Bastoni and Calabria, the following is the interview part of Calabria.

Do you remember when you first watched the Milan derby?

I watched it in my Milan shirt and it was a special day for me, in fact my whole family were Milan fans.

There were a lot of great stars and coaches in the Milan derby of yesteryear...

I remember Carlos Rossoneri in the days of Carlo Ancelotti and Allegri, I grew up watching Milan play, I also grew up with those great players, and for Milan fans, the glory days of that year were a good time.

Do you remember the photo with Maldini?

I took pictures with Maldini when I was a kid, but after six years as a teammate with his son, I wanted to take a picture with Maldini.

How did you prepare for the Milan derby?

When you're already at that level, you have to prepare in the same way for any game, but the derby is obviously a little more important and I think the Milan derby is the best derby in the world, maybe even the best game in the world.

Do you remember the first derby you played?

My first Milan derby was supposed to be the era of the Chinese boss, the game time was 12:30, and I remember when the schedule was announced, we said: This is probably the earliest derby ever. It was a great game anyway, we were 2-0 behind, but in the 97th minute we equalised with a goal from Zapata, by the way, I wasn't on the pitch but it was a really great feeling, there were a lot of fans on the scene and it was a good memory.

Speaking about the penalty scored by Qarhan Oulu in the first leg of the derby

To be honest, from a pitch point of view, I would never think it was a penalty, but anyway, it was really part of the game and we conceded a goal because of it, but it didn't particularly care.

What do you think about your future?

I've spent my whole life at Milan and I want to be able to wear this shirt forever, and of course it's not all up to me, but no matter what happens, my current thinking won't change.

If you get a decisive penalty, who will you hand over to?

I think it's a very delicate situation, if it has to be decided by me, then who has the best foot feeling at that time will be handed over to who will take the penalty.

Are you worried that losing to Inter will lead to being thrown off the table?

It's too early to think about the table, we're eager to win so we can close the gap between the two teams and we'll go all in from Sunday.

Talking about the previous loss to Spezia

Only by winning this type of game can we win the whole Serie A, maybe we didn't play well at the time, but until the last moment there was hope of bringing three points home, I'm sure with the support of the live fans can make us play better, have more advantages, people call the fans the 12th man of the team is not casual.

So can the support of the fans also make you more motivated in the derby?

The presence of the fans really creates an exciting atmosphere, when you enter the stadium you feel inspired by the fans in the stands, the presence or absence of fans is really two concepts, of course, the Milan derby is a top priority game anyway, all parts of the game are what we aspire to experience.

Have you ever been to the South Stand?

In fact, I have never been to the South Stand, I used to go to the corner of Inter to watch Milan, because the tickets there are cheaper, in fact, the second ring is my frequent location.

Talking about Milan's new stadium plans

The new stadium can bring more revenue to the team, let us have stronger financial strength, which means that the new stadium can make the team achieve better results.

What do you think of Leo and Theo's growth?

They're young players, but they're very talented and they're realising what kind of cauliflower they have, and I think they can be the top players in their respective positions in the future. And they're also trying to improve defensively, which I think is very important, and something we've lacked before, and they're going to be a huge help to the whole team.

Speaking of Ibrahimovic

He's a very strong player who can attract the attention of defensive players, so whether Ibrahimovic plays or not can make a big difference, even at this age, Ibrahimovic can play at a high level, and this kind of player is definitely much better around him than when you are your opponent.

If you were asked to take out an Inter opponent, which player would you choose?

I think Inter's strongest place is defence, and while they also have a lot of talented players up front, I'll take out a defender, maybe DeFfrey.
