Ancient Chinese Legend (XXVII) Lu Ban Zhifu Leaning Pagoda

In ancient times, there was a very capable craftsman in luguo, called Luban.

Lu Ban is very industrious and very clever, he invented Lu Ban ruler, saw, ink bucket and cloud ladder, etc., and is the originator of Chinese architecture.

Lu Ban also left a lot of magical and interesting stories.

Once, Lu Ban came to Gusu City. Gusu City is a bustling ancient city, full of towers and towers, tea houses and restaurants, commonly known as paradise on earth.

Lu Ban lingered in Gusu City, studying the various buildings in the city. Suddenly hearing a noise, Lu Ban followed the prestige and saw a group of people gathered around, facing a newly built tower, pointing and talking.

"How can a good new pagoda be oblique?"

"Yeah, what a pity!"

"Could it be that someone did something bad?" What about the Buddha apparitions punishing the man? ”

Lu Ban listened for a while and then walked to the side of the tower, where there stood two people, one was an old man with an angry face, and the other was a gray-headed young man.

It turned out that the old man was a local rich man, and in order to accumulate virtue and do good, he asked the young craftsman to build a pagoda. It took the youth three years to finally complete the construction of the pagoda.

However, somehow, the pagoda is tilted whether it is viewed horizontally or vertically.

Lu Ban walked over to the pagoda, took a closer look, and turned back and said, "I have a way to straighten out the pagoda!" ”

The young man himself had no choice but to resign himself to his fate and believe in Lu Ban. He listened to Lu Ban's words and found a lot of wood, and Lu Ban cut the wood into many small wooden deeds, and knocked the wooden deeds into the leaning side of the pagoda piece by piece, raising that side little by little.

After a month of doing so, the pagoda was indeed erect.

The young craftsman was very grateful and confused, so he asked Lu Ban, "Engong, how do you know that this will make the pagoda stand upright?" ”

"The pagoda is wooden, it is a bucket structure, the various parts support each other, the wooden deed is sloped, it is easy to knock in, the so-called four or two strokes of jack, the tilted side is raised little by little, it is no longer tilted."
