This year marks the 75th anniversary of China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Canada, and the 130th anniversary of the birth of Norman Bethune, an old friend of the Chinese and canadian internationalist fighter.

The Canadian friendship organizations, bethune relatives and descendants, hometown representatives, and researchers from Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, Waterloo, Winnipeg, and Gravenhurst gathered in the clouds with Chinese circles from Beijing, Hebei, Shaanxi and other places to commemorate the ambassador of China-Canada friendship.

At the meeting, the guests also interacted on topics such as how to better promote the spirit of Bethune at present, and watched a short video about The life and deeds of Dr. Bethune online to commemorate his voice and smile.

Xinhua News Agency, China Daily, China News Service, China Radio International, People's Network, China Net, CCTV, China Education Television, Guangming Daily, International Online, Global Network, Beijing Daily, Beijing Television, Beijing News, Beijing Youth Daily, Beijing Foreign Language Broadcasting, and Canada Symbiosis International Media all participated in the meeting online or offline.
