The Winter Olympics will explore the closed-loop | use this black technology to immerse yourself in what the Winter Olympic venues look like

The opening of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games is imminent, and today, Xu Jicheng, director of the Media Operation Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, and Sotilis, chief technical officer of the International Olympic Committee Olympic Broadcasting Service Company (OBS), accompanied Rick, vice president of the marketing group of Intel Corporation and general manager of the global Olympic project office of Intel Corporation, the world's top sponsor of the Olympic Games, to the venue simulation service workstation of the main media center of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games to inspect a black technology ——— venue simulation service system specially developed for the Winter Olympics.

Based on the Shougang Big Jump, the venue simulation service project manager demonstrated the formation process of a complete media operation design scheme in the system. The scientific research and technical team applied virtual reality, artificial intelligence, computer graphics and other related cutting-edge technologies to develop the venue simulation service system. This system provides an end-to-end solution for digital twins and simulations through events that occur in sports venues and events during events, as well as those involving simulated props, assisting in the operational design of sports events and handling cross-departmental collaborative work.

It is understood that the venue simulation service system has three major characteristics, the first is an international platform, followed by an operational and professional platform, and finally a sustainable and enriched platform. At present, it has covered 12 competition venues, 3 Olympic villages, main media centers, Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and other venues, deeply cooperating with the relevant business departments and venue teams of the Olympic Organizing Committee, and will cover the entire Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games competition cycle.

Xu Jicheng, director of the Media Operation Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, said that the venue simulation service system will be of great help in preparing for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Due to the impact of the epidemic, international travel has been greatly restricted, and many spectators have not been able to reach the scene. Through the venue simulation service system, the audience can see the planning of the system in real time. The venue simulation service system uses 3D presentation to allow athletes to put themselves in the shoes of the playing field. In the competition, the more familiar the athletes are with the field, the better the level of competition.
