The play recently held a press conference in Beijing to announce that the work will debut at the National Centre for the Performing Arts on November 6-7, followed by a performance at the Shanghai International Dance Center from November 12 to 13.

As one of the three famous uprisings in the history of the Communist Party of China, the Guangzhou Uprising, forged with its flesh and blood, is deeply rooted in the blood of the sons and daughters of China and has become a red gene passed down from generation to generation. Guangzhou Ballet deeply excavated the cultural connotation of the "Guangzhou Uprising", organically combined the spirit of realism with romantic feelings, examined the revolutionary years from multiple perspectives, vividly portrayed the heroic image of the revolutionary martyrs who threw their heads and spilled their blood for the cause of national liberation, and inherited the red spirit in the "dialogue" with history.

In addition to inviting Professor Yu Ping, former director of the Department of Arts of the Ministry of Culture, dean of the Dance School of Nanjing University of the Arts and doctoral supervisor, to act as screenwriters, and Wang Ge, a famous dance choreographer and national first-class director, as the chief choreographer of the dance drama, the young composer Yang Fan, the stage designer Qin Liyun, the lighting designer Ren Dongsheng, the costume designer Cui Xiaodong, the stylist Jia Lei, the sound designer Liu Yi, etc., to create the "Heavenly Road", "The Eternal Electric Wave" and other heavyweight dance dramas to participate in the creation. Strive to present the old Guangzhou's era style, cultural landscape, combat atmosphere, etc. on the stage in a meticulous way, giving the viewer a double shock of spirit and vision.

China's ballet art creation must conform to the logic of Chinese life and psychology, the imprint of Chinese national culture, and the value embodiment of the traditional Chinese road. According to reports, in the creation of "Banner", it not only highlights the red cultural genes that have been passed down to this day, but also has a "modern atmosphere" that conforms to the aesthetics of the current audience, accurately and novelly reproduces the lofty ideals and feelings of the revolutionary martyrs, full of high passion but not lacking in the depth and heaviness of history. The play combines the characteristics of freehand and virtual reality in oriental art into the symphony of ballet art, and innovates, transforms and develops ballet art with modern stage expression techniques.
