As a key model to be released this year, Lexus recently announced the appearance pictures of the side and rear of the new electric SUV , the RZ450e , on the overseas official website. It is reported that this new car will be officially released this spring.
From these pictures, the overall design of the RZ is highly similar to the Toyota bZ4x and Subaru Solterra, which are also built on the e-TNGA architecture. Compared to the other two cars, the RZ has almost exactly the same lines and body proportions, but the suspended roof effect of the hidden C-pillar makes this Lexus pure electric SUV look more sporty and stylish.
In the design of the rear, Lexus is significantly different from the toyota and Subaru of the same architecture, the slender through taillights replace the taillight shape of the two cars X, in order to echo the shape of the front, the rear bumper of the RZ has also added spoiler shape decoration on both sides.
In terms of motivation, the official has not yet disclosed any information. For comparison, both the Toyota bZ4x and Subaru Soltera feature dual-motor powertrains with a total power of 160 kW (215 hp) and match them with a 72.8 kWh battery pack. According to foreign media speculation, due to the more high-end brand positioning, the future RZ model may provide a higher specification of the powertrain.
