The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics is undoubtedly a good opportunity for China to show its Chinese culture to the world, especially the meeting of the Winter Olympics and the Chinese Spring Festival, which makes the Olympic spirit and Traditional Chinese culture collide with a harmonious movement. In order to introduce China's splendid traditional culture to the world, on the evening of February 1, the 2022 Beijing News Center specially invited Chinese and foreign journalists to enjoy a wonderful Chinese acrobatic performance.

In the evening, the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe staged the acrobatic performance of "Gold Medal Acrobatics in the New Year" at the Poly Theater in Beijing. Programs such as "Rhapsody in the Rain - Ball Skills", "Climber - Swinging High", "Lotus Pond Moonlight - Collective Umbrella", "Pretty Flower Dan - Collective Empty Bamboo" and other programs show the newness, beauty, wonder and perfection of Chinese acrobatic art. The artists won the hearts of the audience with their superb skills and tacit cooperation, and the applause on the scene was continuous and the atmosphere was active.

Lu Limin, chairman of the China Acrobatic Troupe, said in an interview with the 21st Century Business Herald reporter before the performance that the acrobatic troupe's performance this year coincided with the Beijing Winter Olympics, and hoped to use the Chinese acrobatic art rooted in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation to cheer for the Winter Olympics and send blessings to athletes and spectators from all over the world. In particular, he said that in the evening's performance, the "Climber - Swing High" program will pay tribute to the Olympic spirit of fearless hardship with rising action skills, and greet the upcoming Winter Olympic Games with the theme of ice and snow.

Lü Limin said that although acrobatics is an ancient traditional art with a history of more than 3,000 years, the spirit of acrobatics is to constantly innovate and dare to surpass, which is very consistent with the Olympic spirit of constantly challenging themselves. The cast of the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe has to undergo professional training from about the age of 10, and the training intensity is very high, and it needs to constantly challenge the physical limits. "The spirit embodied in our young team is actually the pioneering spirit of the new era."

Founded in 1950, China Acrobatic Troupe Co., Ltd. was renamed China Acrobatic Troupe in 1953, and is the first state-level acrobatic art performance group established by the central government after the founding of New China, and the first art performance group to represent New China. The Chinese acrobatic troupe has traveled all over China and visited 134 countries and regions, becoming a messenger of cultural exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign countries, and has been widely praised by audiences at home and abroad.

Lü Limin told the 21st Century Business Herald that the Chinese acrobatic troupe was praised as "the forerunner of people's diplomacy." Adhering to the ideal pursuit of "letting the world see the best acrobatics", the acrobatic troupe has won 67 gold medals and 10 honorary gold medals in major domestic and world competitions. Among them, the four programs of "Teng Yun - Top Bowl", "Pretty Flower Dan - Collective Empty Bamboo", "Holy Dipper - Earth Circle", "Concerto Black and White Rhapsody - Male and Female Skills" won the 3th World Acrobatic Highest Award "Golden Clown" Award. These awards are a testament to the reputation and recognition of traditional Chinese acrobatics overseas.

"We look forward to defeating the epidemic as soon as possible through the joint efforts of the whole world, so that Chinese acrobatics can go abroad and go to the world, and conduct a wider exchange of acrobatic art overseas." Lu Limin said.
