Welcome the New Year, send blessings to the New Year!

This paper-cut work entitled "Bai Nian" was created by Miao Miao, the fifth generation inheritor of Yimeng Miao's paper-cutting clan and a non-genetic volunteer of the New Era Civilization Practice in Luozhuang District, Linyi City. The child figure in the center of the picture rides a tiger to celebrate the New Year, and the child wears a tiger head hat and tiger head shoes with local characteristics of Yimeng, and holds a pair of "New Year to Good Luck" Spring Festival. Above the tiger's head hat is a blooming peony flower, which symbolizes wealth and peace, and the surrounding area is dotted with vigorous flowers and plants, which has the meaning of welcoming the new spring and looking forward to the recovery of all things. At the bottom of the picture are the four characters of "auspicious year of the tiger" cut out with scissors, and above each word there is a cartoon image of a hand-holding salute and wearing a traditional robe, who is celebrating the New Year. The whole work is full of elements of the Year of the Tiger, and also integrates traditional cultural elements such as robes, Spring Festival, and hand-holding ceremonies, and also wears tiger hats and tiger head shoes that reflect the characteristics of the Yimeng region. Using only red paper and scissors, the paper-cutting artists created a joyful picture and expressed the creator's most sincere wishes for the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger.
