Beijing, 28 Jan (Reporters Wang Dong and Huang Xiaoyi) On the afternoon of 28 January, at the torch relay media briefing held at the main media center of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, Lu Qin, deputy director of the Press and Propaganda Department of the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and deputy director of the press and propaganda department of the special torch relay team, introduced that about 1,200 torchbearers who participated in the torch relay of the Beijing Winter Olympics have been determined, and they come from all walks of life, most of whom have made outstanding achievements or made outstanding contributions in this system and field, and are quite representative and advanced.

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Torch Relay will take place from February 2 to 4 in three divisions: Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, including 11 closed relay areas outside the closed loop and 1 independent relay area within the closed loop. At present, the specific arrangements for the beijing Winter Olympic torch relay are as follows:

The launch ceremony of the torch relay will be held on February 2, after which the torch will be passed in Beijing Olympic Forest Park and Beijing Winter Olympic Park.

On the morning of February 3, the torch will be passed on the Badaling Great Wall and the World Grape Expo Park in Yanqing, and in the afternoon, it will be passed on in Zhangjiakou Yangyuan Nihewan Ruins Park, Zhangbei Desheng Village, Zhangjiakou Industrial Culture Theme Park, Chongli Fulong Ski Resort, and Zhangjiakou Dajingmen Ruins.

On February 4, the torch will be passed at the Summer Palace, Beijing Olympic Forest Park and Grand Canal Forest Park. Among them, the transfer in the Olympic Forest Park on the 4th belongs to the closed loop transmission.

According to Lü Qin, among the torchbearers there are not only advanced model representatives at all levels throughout the country, but also advanced representatives and well-known personalities from all walks of life in science, education, culture, and public health; most of them are "extraordinary ordinary people" who have taken root in the frontline of production and work and made outstanding contributions. Among them, the oldest is 86 years old, the youngest is 14 years old, 53% have won honors at or above the provincial and ministerial levels, and 57% of the front-line representatives in production and work. Among the torchbearers, there are also international friends from more than 20 countries and regions.
