From the heavenly battle of the first movement allegro, to the sadness and confusion revealed by the flowing line board of the second movement, to the obvious contradictions in the third movement of the allegro, and finally sublimated to the pole in the allegro of the fourth movement, leaving only an unspeakable tragedy... On the evening of the 11th, pianist Wang Xinyuan adapted Schubert's quartet "Death and the Maiden", which firmly grasped the emotions of the audience in the concert hall of the Chongqing Philharmonic Factory, everyone held their breath to listen, the children also widened their eyes, and only the sound of the piano flowed on the scene.
In the evening, the "Death and the Maiden - Leeds International Piano Competition Winner - Wang Xinyuan Piano Solo Concert" was successfully held. Wang Xinyuan, a post-95 pianist in Lude, brought three works by Mozart, Schumann and Schubert to meet the audience in Mountain City, and his skillful piano skills were amazing. Wang Xinyuan's own piano adaptation of Schubert Quartet "Death and the Maiden" is particularly outstanding, on the basis of retaining the taste of Schubert's original work, it has given this classic a new vitality through the unique expression of the piano.
There are only three pieces on the concert program. Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 4 in E flat major, K282, and Schumann's Piano Sonata No. 1 in F minor, op.11, represent the innocent romance and complex sensitivity of classical music, presenting a contrasting musical effect. Also a theme of love, Mozart's childlike innocence and innocence form an interesting contrast with Schumann's contradictions and heavy hearts, adding a bit of drama to the stage.
The adapted version of "Death and the Maiden" brought by Wang Xinyuan in the second half is also the first performance after the completion of his adaptation of this work. Wang Xinyuan once said that his adaptation originated from last year's epidemic, when he was forced to stay at home to prevent the epidemic for a year, so when he heard the quartet, he had a lot of feelings, "almost every day at least once a day, but also a strong urge to get it to the piano to play." "Death and the Maiden, played entirely on the piano, seems to be more dramatic than the quartet, and the neutral character of the piano, unlike the subtle, euphemistic style of the strings, is easier for the listener to think about, and therefore appears more profound.
At the end of the performance, the applause continued, and the little girl who came on stage to offer flowers even made the pianist who had just gone crazy on the keys a little ashamed. Thank you Wang Xinyuan, his wonderful interpretation has brought a good night to the fans of Mountain City Music.
