The United States Half Century Murder Hotel 6 days 25 deaths is actually a "group infection" caused by trouble

On July 24, 1976, the bicentennial celebration of the independence of the Pennsylvania Veterans Association branch ended at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel in Philadelphia. A few days after thousands of participants returned home, members of the Military Association office began calling to say that relatives and friends were sick or dead

Edward of the Philadelphia Division. Edward Hoak (1924–1991) felt the gravity of the situation and began investigating whether there were any other patients among those involved in the commemoration. He urgently reported the matter to the health authorities and persuaded them to investigate (thanks to his rapid response, twenty-eight patients suffering from unknown diseases in their homes were saved their lives).

Until the following week, seventeen veterans had all died from acute symptoms of pneumonia. The health care authorities did not give a reason. The strange illness made headlines that "twenty-five people died in six days for unknown reasons." The U.S. Congress and the White House panicked that the strange disease was the swine flu that was raging in Asia at the time. U.S. President Gerald. GeraldFord (1913–2006) hastened to sign an executive order to get people across the country up against influenza.

Joseph, who was elected president at a tragic event in July. Joseph Adams attended more than fifteen funerals in just twelve days. As long as it is possible to know the cause of this incident, he has personally visited, driven 100,000 kilometers of cars, and traveled all over the United States. Until the fall of 1976, rumors and hearsay from scientists, doctors, the media, and the public, from nickel poisoning and Viralpneumonia to conspiracy theories by communists or pharmaceutical companies to murder reservists, were rife.

The epidemic prevention authorities conducted an investigation on the surviving patients and all those who could be traced, 4,400 patients and their families were investigated, and all the bodies were subjected to autopsies, including microscopic examination. By September, the focus of the investigation was on the Belfie Stanford Hotel, where investigators took large samples of water, air, mud and dust in and around the hotel, but found no suspicious bacteria or chemicals.

The reason was not revealed until five months later. On January 18, 1977, Dr. Joseph McDade of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) led a team to announce the isolation of the bacterium of the disease's cause.

Subsequent investigations confirmed that the bacteria had multiplied in the hotel's air conditioning unit. Germs propagating in the central cooling tower are introduced into the room through air conditioning. The strange disease that killed two hundred and twenty-one patients and thirty-four people is called Legionella, also known as Legionnaires' Disease.

The incident dealt a severe blow to the nineteen-story Renaissance-style building, the historic Belfier Stanford Inn. In 1976, the hotel was announced to be closed, and then changed owners several times, and is now acquired by the international hotel chain Hyatt Group and renamed Hyatt Regency Baywell.
