During the epidemic, make a nitrox oxygen machine at home
During this time, the epidemic in Shenzhen was inconvenient, so I stayed at home and did handicrafts. My fishing skills also started with the 2020 pandemic. During the Spring Festival in 2020, I couldn't go anywhere at home, and my free time suddenly increased, and then I began to learn Arduino microcontrollers, 3D printing, PCB design from youtube watching instructional videos. Up to now, I have also done a lot of useful and useless things. When you can't catch a fish, it's also fun to do fishing-related crafts.
The oxygenator has been made before, it took a year and a half, the effect is quite good, it is one of the most successful works in my fishing DIY, it is simple and practical.
Previously, the dual-electric version was used, but this time a lighter single-battery version was made, which can be placed in the fishing gear box and can be used at any time when it is used.
Why make your own oxygener? I've been fishing for 7 years, I've bought no less than ten commercially available oxygeners, and now I only have one on hand that can still run. None of them were satisfied. The main reason is sea fishing in Shenzhen, which is a very harsh working environment for oxygenators. First, Shenzhen is too hot, shrimp are easy to die, ordinary oxygen machine oxygen is not enough, a day down, the bottom of the box will always be a layer of dead shrimp. Second, the corrosiveness of seawater is particularly perverted, and if you are not careful, the oxygenator will enter the water and rust, and it will rust in a few hours. Basically, the aerator breaks down because it is corroded and rusted by seawater. If it's freshwater fishing, a commercially available proofer may be sufficient.
The previously made oxygenators are two 18650 batteries that can be used for 27-36 hours, suitable for fishing one day and one night. This time make a smaller version for daytime use. Goal: Use an 18650 battery, can use about 15 hours, waterproof, out of the air volume far away supermarket to sell oxygenators.
Design and production points:
(1) The air pump is the core, and it is necessary to choose an air pump with low power consumption and a large air output.
(2) Increase the voltage regulation circuit, so that the output of the air output during the entire pumping process is always stable. The market is the battery directly connected to the air pump motor, because the battery voltage is lower and lower, the air output is getting smaller and smaller, and the shrimp raised in the later stage are easy to die, or half dead lose their vitality. After the use of the voltage stabilization circuit, the air output is always the same, so that even if you fish until you go home by hand, the shrimp you raise are still alive.
(3) Waterproof is very critical, because the air pump needs to inlet air, can not be completely sealed, can not be completely waterproof. Therefore, to do local waterproofing, the design of the battery and circuit board completely sealed, the wiring head glue waterproof, external switches and charging ports to choose waterproof, not easy to rust materials.
In addition to the shell, other parts are finished products, and the production threshold is relatively low.

Tell us about the special design of the intake duct. Commercially available oxygen burners dig two small holes in the top of the back cover. This design is easy to get into as long as there is water on the back cover. I once broke two air pumps because I went into the water for two consecutive fishing.
This design uses a long intake duct, extends the intake path, and adds an air chamber much larger than the pipe in the pipe, so that even if there is water drawn in from the intake, it is difficult to suck into the box in this chamber due to insufficient suction.
Put on the battery and air pump:
Use an electric soldering iron to weld the wire.
Adjust the output of the regulator circuit to increase the voltage to 4.3V. Note that single-cell batteries use boost circuits, and two-cell batteries use buck circuits.
Fill the battery compartment with 705 glue and seal the battery and the circuit board. The battery box was originally designed with a lid, and after pouring 705 glue, it was found that the lid did not need to be covered, and the waterproof should be enough.
Wire connectors, switches, charging ports are all coated with 705 glue for waterproofing.
The trachea fitting uses a 6mm diameter PVC pipe with a 704 glue to seal the periphery.
Leave it overnight and the 705 glue will be crystal clear.
Connect the trachea, the air disk stone. The air disk stone used in the fish tank is selected, and the air bubbles are fine and dense, and the dissolved oxygen effect is better.
Velcro on the back and velcro on the fridge. Velcro is something too easy to use.

The test effect, the air output is very abundant, which is at least several times the output of the commercially available oxygen machine. When you put your own food in the water to oxygenate, the water seems to boil.
The working current is about 200ma, and it can be used for about 15 hours with a 3200MaH battery.
The previous version of the oxygenator has been used for a year and a half, and the practice has proved to be particularly good. In such a hot and sweltering weather as Shenzhen, a day of oxygen, even if the water is not changed, the shrimp rarely die, and it has always been able to maintain a very good vitality. Compared to the commercially available oxygen machine is not a little bit better. Occasionally raising fish is also easy to raise at home.
