On January 28, the comprehensive report of China News Network predicted that the Falcon 9 booster of the American Space Exploration Technology Corporation (SpaceX) will crash into the moon in March 2022 after 7 years of space drift.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 booster was reportedly launched in Florida, U.S.A., in 2015, but remained in space after completing the mission because there was not enough fuel to return to Earth.

Gray, an astronomer who calculates the latest collision of the rocket's impact on the moon, deduced that it would hit the dark side of the moon at a speed of more than 9,000 kilometers per hour on March 4.

Jonathan McDowell, an astrophysicist at Harvard's Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, also said it would be the first known uncontrolled rocket crashing into the moon, but that the crash and explosion would have only minor effects.
