DeRozan: We've been thinking about going to the finals, and we've put too much emphasis on rings when we evaluate players

Live Bar, January 27 Today, Bulls player DeRozan was interviewed by Taylor Rooks.

Speaking about the fact that he has not reached the finals so far in his career, DeRozan said: "I always think about this, as I get older, you watch the finals every year, and when you get to the first game of the new season, you fight for the finals. You're going to want to be the last team, that's an incentive. If you're a real contender in this league, you're going to want to get to the Finals, you want a chance to compete for the championship, so that's something I've been thinking about. ”

Speaking about the culture of judging players as champions, DeRozan said: "I think we put too much emphasis on rings when evaluating players, and you can look back, a lot of great players don't have rings. When you compare this great player to a player with a ring, you can't ignore the accolades he's earned in his career, because some people may not even reach half of him. If you ask those competitors, they all want to have a ring, that's what we ultimately want to get. It's impossible for everyone to have a ring, but that doesn't mean you can't do your best to be the best teammate and be the best version of yourself. ”
