In Cantonese, there is a very special word "Uli single knife", people often refer to doing things in a messy and confused manner. In reality, "Uli single knife" is not just a word, in the Xinhui Museum, it collects this third-level cultural relic born in the Yuan Dynasty - Uli single knife.
This Uli single knife hidden in the Xinhui Museum is 71.4 cm long, 13.7 cm wide, 1.6 cm thick, and weighs 4.1 kg, and is a tobacco-shaped iron unilateral knife with a wide blade, a damaged blade, a blunt blade on the back, and a seriously rusted body. The provincial cultural relics appraisal station identified its birth date as the Yuan Dynasty and is a third-class cultural relic.

According to the "General Outline of the Martial Classics", written in the early Northern Song Dynasty, it is recorded that there were eight kinds of knife shapes used in the army at that time, such as the flex knife, the Yanyue knife, the eyebrow tip knife, the phoenix knife, the pen knife, the dropped knife, the halberd knife, and the hand knife, combining seven kinds of long-handled knives and one short-handled knife (hand knife). Compared with the shape of the Uli single knife, between the Moon Mask Knife of the Song Dynasty and the Moon Knife of the Ming Dynasty, it is a cold weapon used in actual combat, and its handle is shorter than that used in the honor guard, which is convenient for swinging and fighting on horseback. Due to its age, the existing Uli single knife handle is missing, and only the body part of the knife can be seen.

The origin of the term "Uli Single Knife" has different versions in Xinhui, Zhongshan and other places, but the owner of this knife is said to be a general named Uli in the Yuan Dynasty. According to Yuan Meimei, director of the Xinhui Museum, the Yuan general who was stationed in the Xinhui and Zhongshan areas during the Yuan Dynasty was called Wuli, who made a large single knife, cruel and extremely indignant.

Once, Uli crossed the river in a small boat from Chaolian to the village of Zhou county, and when the boat reached the center of the river, the boatman overturned the boat and drowned Uli, who was wearing heavy armor.
Because of Uli's disappearance, Yuan Bing could not find out the truth, so he stipulated that his divine sign should be posted on the door of every household, and whoever disobeyed the order would be designated as the murderer, as a means to solve the case. After the fall of the Yuan Dynasty, people recovered Uli's single knife in the river and placed it in the temple of ZhouJun Village. Later, the yuan general Uli was circulated in the Pearl River Delta, and there were Uli single knife - confused, pit closed knife - wen can not be, wu can not be these afterwords.
Although it is still impossible to determine whether there is a "Uli" person, this knife is a Yuan Dynasty weapon that has undergone the test of actual combat, which not only provides important physical information for the study of the history of the development of ancient weapons on the mainland, but also provides a historical reference for future generations to explore the local history of Xinhui in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, which has very important historical value.

According to records, after being salvaged out of the water with a single knife, Uli has been stored in a temple in Zhoujun Village, Tangxia Town, and has been enshrined by the masses for nearly 300 years. In February 1956, Dang, then secretary of the Xinhui County Party Committee, instructed the people of the county cultural department to organize manpower to go to the countryside to collect books and cultural relics, and at this time, he received Uli from the village of Tangxia Zhoujun to the county museum for collection. Now, as one of the "Four Treasures of Xinhui", Uli Single Knife has been exhibited for a long time in the collection exhibition hall of Xinhui Museum, where the public can visit the cultural relics and understand the historical story behind it.
