Huawei mobile phones will push the 4G version of the P50 series abroad for a price of 1199 euros

Although the global status of Huawei's phones has declined due to U.S. sanctions, the company has launched high-end smartphones in the international market. Huawei announced plans to bring the P50 Pro and foldable P50 Pocket to markets outside of China. The phones were launched domestically last year.

However, as U.S. sanctions continue to prohibit Huawei from buying certain U.S. technology, neither phone has the ability to connect to ultra-high-speed 5G networks. Instead, the devices are equipped with Qualcomm chips that allow for 4G connectivity.

The P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch display and two huge camera modules on the back. The P50 Pocket is a foldable smartphone that fits in pockets and bags that can be connected to a variety of Huawei hardware products.

The P50 Pro starts at 1199 euros (8559 yuan), and the huawei P50 series starts at 4488 yuan in China.

Since Huawei became the world's number one smartphone manufacturer in the second quarter of 2020, its global position has declined dramatically. Counterpoint Research estimates that in the fourth quarter of 2021, Huawei's global market share was 1.7%, of which 90% came from the domestic market.

Due to U.S. restrictions on Huawei over the past few years, Huawei has been unable to use key components such as semiconductors, as well as Google's Android mobile operating system and related applications.

For this purpose, Huawei's latest devices will be equipped with EMUI 12, which is one of Huawei's own operating systems, but will not come with Google Apps or The App Store. Huawei uses a series of self-developed applications such as its own app store.

While Huawei continues to release consumer products, its focus has shifted to other areas, including software and cloud computing.
