Integrating tradition into new technologies derives new process technologies
Fu Juan has loved art since she was a child, and has received careful guidance from many professional teachers, artists and intangible cultural heritage masters in the process of art. In the early 1980s, Fu Juan first saw a vase made of cloisonné (commonly known as enamel, a traditional Chinese handicraft with a history of 600 years), and soon she was deeply attracted by the exquisite craftsmanship of this artwork that came out of the court, "This craft has brilliant colors, through the combination of different material textures, to achieve a state of harmony and coexistence, making people have a feeling that it is difficult to forget at a glance." In order to have a deep understanding of the cloisonné process, Fu Juan consulted a large number of materials, she found that "cloisonné" is one of the famous special metal crafts in the mainland, the production process reached its peak during the Ming Dynasty Cloisonné years, because the crafts produced are the most exquisite and famous, and the metalware made of this technology is "cloisonné" by posterity.
At this time, the "Ding Shaoguang's Yunnan Heavy Color Painting" (taking Chinese painting lines as the model, applying the colorful colors of Western modern painting, giving people a pleasing feeling, the content is mostly to reflect the natural scenery of Yunnan ethnic minority customs and historical culture. There are many imitations of similar styles on the market, but in Fu Juan's view, these works lack what is intrinsic to crafts. Therefore, she thought about whether she could collide with painting through materials, techniques and paintings to produce a characteristic decorative painting with texture and refinement. "At the right time, with the guidance and help of the craft teacher, I began to repeatedly try the materials and production process of cloisonné crafts, using a process change from firing to bonding on the basis of traditional skills, and the materials and production processes gradually multiplied into new branches of art." Fu Juan said that through continuous experimentation, she innovated the cloisonné filigree rock painting and developed "three stages of golden silk color sand painting, filigree rock painting and cloud pottery filigree heavy color art".

For more than 30 years, Fu Juan has always adhered to the heart of a craftsman, and she has cultivated a group of skilled talents while determined to be a guardian and preacher of traditional cultural skills. In 2008, Fu Juan founded the "Golden Silk Painting Ling" Yunnan Golden Silk Black Pottery Painting Workshop on the campus of Yunnan University for Nationalities.
