Ricoh unveiled the new 360° VR camera THETA X, which not only features two 48MP image sensors to capture 5.7K30P video or 60MP photos, but also reduces the weight of the body to 170g.
Ricoh is the earliest Japanese manufacturer of VR cameras, and the only Japanese manufacturer that insists on making VR cameras so far. The new Theta X has the same structure as previous products, with two 48MP image sensors and two fisheye lenses, capable of forming a 360° viewing angle, shooting up to 5.7K30P or 4K60P 360° video, and up to 4K60P video during live broadcasting. If you take a still photo, you can output 11008 × 5504, 5504 × 2752 resolution photos, and provide JPG and RAW recording formats.
In addition to improving the picture quality, the THETA X body also has many improvements, also based on the Android operating system at the same time equipped with a 2.25-inch touch screen, improve the operability of the machine, and support more APP; the use of DB-110 lithium battery, the fuselage with USB Type-C interface, support fuselage charging; built-in 46GB storage space, can record up to 4600 11008 × 5504 resolution photos or 50 minutes of 4K video, users can pass through micro SD expands storage space; built-in GPS and supports A-GPS function to improve positioning accuracy; ADDs AI Auto function, which can use AI recognition technology to identify subjects in captured images; the body size is 51.7*136.2*29mm, weighing 170g; equipped with a new TL-3 lens cover, which is easier to install and does not touch the lens.
THETA X is priced at $799 overseas and will be listed in March, and the price and launch date of the Bank of China are unknown.
