At the Magnolia Theater this afternoon, an unfinished party flag brought tears to many audiences, and the musical "Danxin Embroidery" was staged here. At the same time tomorrow, the red sitcom "Pursuit", which has been performed for 5 consecutive years, will also appear here. Two original plays created by the Huangpu District Cultural Center and the Department of Music and Drama of Shanghai Conservatory of Music have appeared one after another, paying tribute to revolutionary pioneers and celebrating the great era.

The musical "Danxin Embroidery" is based on the "One And Two Places Embroidery Party Flag" activity jointly organized by the Huangpu District Women's Federation and the Women's Federation of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province in March this year. Through the indissoluble relationship between a March 8th Red Flag Bearer and a Party Flag, the work reproduces the unchanged original intention of the underground party members of the CPC on the eve of liberation, with the embroidery of the Party flag as the main line, reflecting the story of three generations of a family in different eras, continuing the red gene, working silently for the party, and selflessly dedicating themselves. On June 18, the play was enthusiastically received when it premiered at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, and has since been frequently added. This time, the play is not only the opening play of the original red repertoire of Huangpu District, but also held as a music party class of the Shanghai March 8th Red Flag Hand Lecturer Group.
Li Haijian, the screenwriter of "DanXin Embroidery", is also the screenwriter of the upcoming "Pursuit". He introduced: "'Pursuit' tells a true historical story, while 'Danxin Embroidery' is an original story that condenses the life experiences of many 'March 8 red flag bearers' and female workers who embroider the party flag. Since the beginning of the creation in March inspired by the "embroidery of the party flag" activity, Li Haizhou and other creative personnel have repeatedly gone to the grass-roots units such as Hengyuanxiang, a long-established brand in Shanghai, to collect style and listen to the moving stories of front-line female workers who are dedicated to the party. Li Haizhou sighed: "On the surface, they embroidered a flag, but in fact, they embroidered life and faith. The protagonist of the play, Wang Jihong, has parents who are underground party members, and a party flag that her mother did not embroider before her sacrifice is an "heirloom" passed down from generation to generation by three generations, and it is also a symbol of faith. Over the past few decades, Wang Jihong and her daughter have also followed in the footsteps of their ancestors, continued their unfinished business, and resolutely dedicated their youth and blood to the party and the country. "If 'Pursuit' is about the past, 'DanXin Embroidery' is about the present, it is about inheritance." Li Haijian explained.
Just as Li Haijian said, "Pursuit" connects the red relics of different historical periods, such as the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, the former site of the Central Organ of the Communist Party of China, the former site of the editorial office of the "New Youth" where the CPC Initiation Group was founded, and the former site of the Organ of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, in a series of red relics of different historical periods, and presents Shanghai's profound red historical heritage and touching revolutionary deeds in a point-by-point manner. Today, the show has accompanied the audience through five years, has undergone countless polishes, and has new and modified chapters for each reenactment. Li Haijian said: "The process of excavating the red history again and again for the creation of "Pursuit" is also the process of the crew receiving party history education and strengthening their faith, and finally condensing into the inspiration and source of motivation for the creation of "Danxin Embroidery". It can be said that "Pursuit" is the basis of "Danxin Embroidery". "Most of the actors in "Dan Xin Embroidery" are also shangyin student actors who have participated in "Pursuit". Li Haijian revealed: "I set several young characters in "Dan Xin Xiu" as music students, which is derived from these actors. I think that taking myself as an example, showing up is also a manifestation of the red spirit that is still passed down today. ”
