Who is the cutest person?

In the war years of flames and smoke, the people's sons and soldiers charged forward, bravely killed the enemy, and opened up a new world! In the era of peace when the wind and rain were smooth, an epidemic struck, the people's children and soldiers obeyed the order, thundered out, and rushed to the battlefield without gun smoke! On the frontline of grassroots prevention and control, there are many retired soldiers who are busy with dedication. Among the recipients of this year's "July 1st Medal" are many retired soldiers, such as Wang Zhanshan, who went deep into schools, troops, juvenile management centers, enterprises and institutions, etc., to carry out heroic model deeds and revolutionary traditional education, and devoted himself to spreading the genes of the Red Revolution; such as Sun Jingkun, who returned to his hometown after retiring from the army and devoted himself to construction, planting 130,000 pine and chestnut trees.

Whether in the war years or in the peace years, the people's children and soldiers are the most lovely people! Many of them sacrificed for their country and were named martyrs. Such as The heroic martyr Xiao Siyuan and Wang Zhuoran, although they are gone, their spirit will always remain on the land of China! In my hometown, there is a heroic martyr who will be awe-inspiring when he says his name, he is Liu Zihua, the warrior who flew to seize the Luding Bridge!

Liu Zihua was born in 1912 in Shangdong Village, Shuijiang Town, Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. In June 1929, Liu Zihua officially joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

In October 1934, the Great Long March began, when Liu Zihua was a platoon commander of the Second Company of the Third Battalion of the Red Fourth Regiment. In early May 1935, after the Red Army forcibly crossed the dangerous Jinsha River, it continued to move north with great speed. At that time, the situation was very dangerous, with "fierce tigers" (the troops of the Kuomintang Sichuan warlords Liu Wenhui, Liu Xiang, and Yang Sen) and then "pursuing troops" (Xue Yue's troops of the Kuomintang Central Army), who "attacked back and forth" in an attempt to eliminate the Central Red Army in one fell swoop. If the Red Army could not cross the Dadu River quickly, it could fall into an even more dangerous situation. In order to quickly cross the Dadu River, it is necessary to take the Luding Bridge. In the case of these 100,000 fires, the Red Fourth Regiment accepted the task of capturing the Luding Bridge.

In the early morning of May 27, 1935, the Red Fourth Regiment set out from Anshun Field and rushed along the west bank of the Dadu River towards Luding Bridge. Liu Zihua and all the officers and men of the Red Fourth Regiment marched 240 miles day and night with unswerving revolutionary perseverance, and arrived at the west bridgehead of Luding Bridge in the early morning of May 29 according to the time scheduled by the Central Military Commission, occupying the west bridgehead, but the cunning enemy removed the bridge plate, leaving only 13 bare iron cables. "The water of Jinsha beats the cloud cliff warmly, and the Dadu Bridge crosses the iron cable cold." In such a difficult situation, the Red Army did not flinch, but bravely moved forward! Liu Zihua's second company was designated as a commando team, and because Liu Zihua was eager to fight, astute, and short in stature, he was approved to serve as a "commando vanguard".

At 4 p.m. on May 29, when all the regimental commanders gathered together to blow up the charge trumpet, Yang Chengwu said passionately to the soldiers: "I will reward you when I rush over, and I will be filial piety to your mother when I die!" With a single order, all the weapons fired together on the opposite shore, and the sound of gunfire shook the valley. Under the cover of powerful firepower, Liu Zihua and the warriors held submachine guns, inserted sabers on their backs, wrapped grenades around their waists, braved the rain of bullets and bullets, and climbed the slippery iron cables to rush toward the enemy on the opposite shore. The enemy was terrified, and he never expected that under such circumstances, the Red Army would dare to rush over and hurriedly order the bridge to be set on fire. Suddenly, smoke billowed from the east side of the bridge, and the flames soared into the sky. In the face of the raging fire, the warriors rushed through the sea of fire, entered the county town of Luding, and won a great victory of strategic significance in the Long March of the Red Army. Liu Zihua and 22 other brave warriors made outstanding meritorious achievements and received special commendations from the Central Military Commission. The success of flying to seize the Luding Bridge smashed Chiang Kai-shek's "south chasing after the north blockade" and wanting to take advantage of the natural danger of the Dadu River to turn the Red Army into the second "yellow sorghum dream" of Shi Dakai! In order to realize the strategic transfer of the Red Army, it laid a solid foundation for the end of the Long March to the north of Shaanxi!

Liu Zihua fought on horseback all his life, experienced hundreds of battles, won five battles, and was seriously injured nine times. He died in 1951 from a malignant gonorrhea tumor. After Liu Zihua's death, the North China Military Region awarded him the title of revolutionary martyr.

In the era of peace, Liu Zihua's fearless spirit is also worth learning from us, and China has successfully completed the first centenary goal and is moving toward the "second centenary goal" of comprehensively building a modern socialist country. The difficulties on the way forward will be more and more difficult, which requires us to have a fearless spirit, open the road in every mountain, build bridges in the water, step by step forward, and finally achieve success!
