On May 9, an 11-member Kuwaiti media delegation led by the President of the Kuwait Writers Association, Houmadi al-Mutiri, visited the China-Arab Reform and Development Research Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"), and the two sides had friendly exchanges. The Kuwaiti delegation was composed of people from the Writers' Association, the Ministry of Information and other departments, as well as mainstream media personalities and social media influencers from the Kuwait National News Agency, Torch, Politico and Public Opinion.
At the symposium, the delegation exchanged views with scholars and students of the center. Professor Wang Guangguang, Secretary-General of the Center, introduced the development process of China's economy in recent years, and demonstrated China's achievements in the fields of industrial production, consumer market, scientific and technological innovation and international trade through detailed data and facts. Especially in the context of increasing global economic uncertainty, China's economy still maintains a steady development trend, which is enough to prove the resilience and vitality of China's economy.
The two sides exchanged views on topics such as China-Gulf relations, China-Kuwait relations, talent training, mutual visits and exchanges, and Arabic language teaching in China. The delegation said that the media played a very important role in promoting positive awareness between the two sides, and that mutual visits should be strengthened. The head of the delegation, Houmadi Mutiri, said that this is his third visit to China, and every time he visits China, China gives him a sense of changing with each passing day, and China's experience is worth learning and learning from.
The Kuwaiti side expressed its heartfelt thanks to the Center for its warm reception, and looked forward to the positive interaction between the Center and Kuwaiti media organizations in political, cultural, academic and other aspects, and to contribute to the friendly exchanges between Kuwait and China. Before the discussion, the delegation first visited the exhibition room of the center to gain an in-depth understanding of the center's achievements in research and training, talent training, think tank research, and cultural exchanges since its establishment.
