It is pointed out that the centralized charging stations in Kunming are quite scarce, and the vast majority of charging stations are small and micro, decentralized construction solutions, although the total number of sites looks like a lot, but the actual service support capacity is insufficient because of the dispersion. Status: Centralized charging is scarce

The survey shows that due to the current relatively weak charging infrastructure, the public has concerns about the availability of new energy vehicles. For example, one of the news hotspots during this year's National Day is the shortage of charging piles in the highway service area, resulting in a large number of new energy vehicles waiting in line for a long time to be charged, such news further expands the "mileage anxiety" of new energy car owners, inhibiting the public's enthusiasm for buying new energy vehicles. At present, the expressway service area is far from the urban power supply network, and the investment in large-scale additional charging facilities is too large, so it is only maintained in the scale of a few to a dozen fast charging piles, but such small and even micro charging stations have been proved to be unable to support the rapid growth of new energy vehicles.

Taking Kunming As an example, there are 383 charging stations in the city, 8873 charging ports, and the average station is only 23 terminals, that is, 11.5 double-gun fast charging piles, which is only equivalent to the national average level. That is to say, the centralized charging stations in Kunming are quite scarce, and the vast majority of charging stations are small and micro, decentralized construction solutions, even though the total number of sites looks like a lot, but the actual service support capacity is insufficient because of dispersion.

In addition, the current support policy for charging stations also needs to be further improved. The current subsidy for the construction and operation of the charging station is based on the first installed power subsidy, the second is the subsidy according to the number of stations, and does not consider the concentration, scale, service facilities, etc., and the district subsidy even requires only 315kVA to be a charging station (calculated according to 60kVA at each end, 315kVA is to have 5 fast charging ports and charge 5 cars at the same time). This is also a motivation for a large number of charging station construction and operation units to choose small and scattered modes. In contrast, a small gas station is only equipped with four fuel dispensers and also has 8 refueling ports, it takes about 5 minutes to refuel a car, and a new energy vehicle to charge to 80% takes about 30 minutes, which means that under the same conditions, the size of the charging station should be 6 times that of the same level of gas stations, and the future small charging station should have 48 fast charging ports, and its service efficiency can be comparable to that of the small gas stations of four gas dispensers, which requires a total power of 2880kVA, which is more than 9 times that of the current 315kVA. Improvements and deficiencies need to be made as soon as possible.
