Zen Second Ancestor Severed Arm Seeking Dharma: Ask Master to reassure me; Dharma Grandmaster gave a word and had an epiphany

Dharma Guru came east to propagate the Dharma, faced the wall of Mount Song for nine years, and then went out of the mountain to teach the Dharma, for the first ancestor of Zen Buddhism in Middle-earth and the propagator of the Dharma in Middle-earth Buddhism.

The history of Zen Buddhism is: a flower blooms five leaves, and the result is natural. The flower here refers to the Dharma ancestor, and the five leaves are the five generations of Zen ancestors, of which the second ancestor Huike's process of seeking the Dharma is quite legendary.

When Erzu Huike was young, he was bold and open-minded, knowledgeable, and in charge of Daozang, but he always felt that he could not be liberated, so Sichuan sought out high-ranking people and wise people, hoping to solve the confusion in his heart. Later, someone told him that there was a senior monk in Tianzhu who was in the Shaolin Temple, so Hui Ke went into the mountains to search for him, and this senior monk was Dharma Grandmaster.

At this time, Dharma was meditating on the wall of the cave, and Hui Ke inquired many times outside the cave, but Dharma did not have a single word of enlightenment.

However, Hui Ke was earnest in his quest, and although it snowed heavily, he still stood tall in the snow, expecting the ancestors to teach him.

Dharma Guru decided to rest for a while, and seeing that Hui Ke had frozen into a snowman, but had not left, he asked, "What are you asking for?" ”

Hui saw that the ancestor woke up and cried with joy: "May the monk teach me the supreme magic method." ”

Since The Great Dharma Ancestors have seen too many Dharma seekers since dongdu, they all hope to seek a convenient Dharma, the Dao heart is not firm, and there is no spirit of practice, so he said to Hui Keyan: "If the supreme and wonderful path is not the same as worldly learning, it is necessary to have the perseverance to be able to do difficult and endure, as well as perseverance and perseverance, and perseverance to learn to cultivate." Those who covet small wisdom, who have no virtue and no righteousness, and who are contemptuous and contemptuous, cannot be sustained. ”

Hui Ke Erzu was worthy of being a brave man, and he swung his sword and cut off his left arm to show his determination.

When Dharma Guru saw that Hui Ke was indeed seeking the Dharma and that his Dao heart was strong, he asked, "What have you come to ask for?" ”

Hui Ke replied, "I am upset and beg Master to reassure me." ”

Dharma said, "You take the heart, and I will give you peace." ”

Hui Ke pondered for half a day and replied, "I looked around and couldn't find my heart." ”

Dharma Guru replied, "I have put my heart at ease for you." ”

Hui Ke became enlightened at the moment, studied with Dharma Guru for 9 years, and finally inherited his mantle, becoming the second generation of Chinese Zen ancestors.

In the early days of Zen Forest, it was actually not very peaceful, in addition to the struggle of inheritance and continuation, there were many traitors. When Grandmaster Hui Ke was 107 years old, there was also a master in the monastery who preached the Nirvana Sutra, but some of the disciples of this master listened to Grandmaster Hui Ke's teachings and felt that this master's teachings were not in the end, so they left the table.

This mage felt very faceless, and happened to be familiar with the county order, so he took the opportunity to slander Hui Ke's ancestor's demon words to confuse the public, and the county order was also a delusional person who reversed black and white, and finally sentenced Hui Ke's ancestor to death.

But after all, Hui Ke's ancestor was a great monk, and he had already escaped from life and death, and since he had come with a wish, he was now willing to go away, so he went to the execution ground in anger, and calmly and peacefully before leaving, and made a poem to be left with posterity:

The four fundamentals have no self, and the five aggregates are also empty;

The head is facing the white blade, like chopping the spring wind.

A generation of ancestors died.

Hui KeZushi entered from the heart, which is also the fundamental meaning of Buddhism, and the so-called Buddha is actually enlightened. Many people say that since Grandmaster Hui Ke has already been enlightened and must have already had magical powers, why can he still be killed?

Duh! Wake up, what is magic? Everyone is self-sufficient, but the scholar does not know this treasure of his own family, but goes out to ask for something to ride the clouds and ride the fog, and the seventy-two become delusional and magical, is not riding a donkey to find a donkey.

Divine power is vajra nature, can respond to all things is god, the mind is not hindered is the pass, Hui Ke ancestors live in the world to promote the Dharma, food, clothing, shelter and travel, is not all the manifestation of divine powers, even if the last "chopping spring wind", it is just a miraculous use, the self-nature is not stained with dust.
