As an ancient cultural capital, the story behind Chang'an cannot be told for three days and three nights. After Zhu Yuanzhang established the Ming Dynasty, he sent Xu Da and other famous generals to lead the Northern Expedition and expel the Yuan Dynasty. After Xu Da attacked Fengyuan Road, Zhu Yuanzhang was overjoyed and changed Fengyuan Road to "Xi'an Province", which is the origin of the name "Xi'an". Although "Anxi" and "Xi'an" are just reversed, the meanings of the two are completely different. "Anxi" means "stabilizing the West", which is a process; "Xi'an" means "Western stability", which is a result.
But even in the Ming Dynasty, Xi'an still had the opportunity to change back to "Chang'an". At that time, Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to move the capital to Xi'an, and specially arranged for the crown prince Zhu Biao to go to inspect and repair the city of Xi'an.
