On July 8, the Central District Court in Seoul, South Korea, pronounced a first-instance verdict in the case of "Room N" accomplice Nam Gyeong-eup suspected of luring and filming indecent videos, sentencing him to 17 years in prison. Nam Gyeong-yi is suspected of luring five victims to shoot videos of sexual exploitation and coercing them. Prosecutors called the perpetrators guilt-free and called the victims "slaves." It was also noted that he took nude photos of women to detention centers during his arrest and trial.
