U.S. government's mandatory vaccination policy has been thwarted again, and the judge has called off the federal employee vaccination order

According to the US Chinese Network, a federal judge in Texas issued a preliminary ban on the 21st to prevent the Biden administration's vaccine order for federal employees from continuing to be implemented.

Judge Brown of the Southern District Court for the District of Texas, appointed by former President Trump, argued that the vaccine order overrides the president's powers, citing a recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned the Biden administration's vaccine order against employees of large private companies.

U.S. President Joe Biden announced in September 2021 that all federal workers and contractors would be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, with no option to test regularly unless medical or religious exemptions are granted. This requirement came into effect in November 2021.

White House press spokesman Psaki said on the 21st that 98% of the federal staff have been vaccinated. Under the Biden administration's order, those employees who refuse to be vaccinated will be required to undergo counseling and may face dismissal.

Brown writes that the focus of the controversy is whether the president "can at every turn demand that millions of federal employees undergo medical procedures as a condition of employment without congressional involvement." He added: "As the Supreme Court recently stated, under current law, this goes beyond the borders. ”

The US Department of Justice said on the 21st that it would appeal the ruling.

The plaintiff in the case is the Nevada-based Federal Medical Freedom Organization (FMF). The group said they had 6,000 members from "almost every federal agency."
