At about 00:30 on January 21, a villager in Cangtian Village, Qingyaoshan Town, Xin'an County, was in dire pain and urgently needed medical treatment. However, due to the wet and slippery roads in the snow, ambulances could not reach them.

"It had just rained earlier, it was snowing again, the road was slippery and icy, and the police car couldn't get out." Liu Dongcheng, a police officer at the Qingyaoshan Police Station of the Xin'an County Public Security Bureau, who was on duty, received a call for help from the masses and immediately hurried to Cangtian Village with 3 colleagues. "There is a 6-kilometer road to the person who arrived at the help-seeking home, what if you delay the treatment?" Liu Dongcheng muttered in his heart. As he walked, he contacted the village doctor to go over and see the situation first.

"The patient just had kidney surgery some time ago, and from the current situation, it looks like stomach cramps, and it may be life-threatening if it is not sent to the hospital in time." Not long after, the village doctor called and suggested that he be sent to the town health center for treatment as soon as possible.

Liu Dongcheng and his colleagues accelerated their pace, and at about 2 a.m., they arrived at the home of the helper, placed the patient on a rack car, and braved the wind and snow with the village cadres to pull the patient out of the mountain.

It's freezing cold and the temperature is low. After about an hour of arduous marching, the crowd braved the cold to escort the patient safely to the ambulance that was waiting...

At 4 a.m., when Liu Dongcheng and his colleagues returned to the police station, their coats were frozen and soaked with sweat. "As a people's policeman, the safety of the masses is above all else, as long as they have difficulties, we will appear at their side at any time." Liu Dongcheng told reporters on the phone.

At present, the patient has been referred to the county hospital for treatment in time and is in stable condition.
