The Wuhu Municipal People's Procuratorate alleged that from 2007 to 2021, defendant He Zhizhong, while serving as secretary of the Lingbi County CPC Committee, secretary general of the Suzhou Municipal Government, member of the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal CPC Committee, director of the Propaganda Department, and member and secretary general of the Ma'anshan Municipal CPC Committee, took advantage of his position or the convenience of his position of authority to seek benefits for others in the acquisition of state-owned assets, the payment of land transfer fees in installments, the introduction of projects, the adjustment of job positions, and the contracting of supervision projects Illegally accepted cash, mahogany furniture and other property, equivalent to a total of 7,370,376 yuan. In view of the fact that defendant He Zhizhong was able to truthfully confess all the facts of the crime of accepting bribes after arriving at the case, withdraw all the stolen funds, and voluntarily admit guilt and accept punishment at the stage of review and prosecution, the procuratorate put forward a sentencing recommendation for lenient punishment.
