To this day, Wang Yaping has spent a total of 112 days in space. Nie Haisheng's previous record was 111.6 days. In Wang Yaping's 112 days in space, the Shenzhou X mission nine years ago accounted for 14.6 days. It has been nearly 98 days since shenzhou 13 stationed on the space station.
We know that starting from Shenzhou XIII, the cycle of astronauts performing missions on the space station is about half a year. Shenzhou 13 was launched on October 16 last year, only a little more than three months, so every moment that followed, Wang Yaping was breaking the record. Commander Zhai Zhigang arrived on January 20, and stayed in space for more than 100 days, becoming the third person after Wang Yaping and Nie Haisheng.
Looking back at Wang Yaping, in fact, from the moment Shenzhou 13 was launched, she was setting a record: becoming the first female astronaut on the mainland to fly twice; more than ten hours later, she became the first female astronaut stationed on the Chinese space station; on November 7 last year, she became China's first female astronaut to leave the space; two days later, she wished her 6-year-old daughter a happy birthday in space; on December 26, Zhai Zhigang and Ye Guangfu left the capsule, and Wang Yaping stayed in the sky to provide support. She became the first female astronaut in China to stay alone on the space station; in a few days, she ushered in the New Year in space for the first time; this month, she was going to spend her 42nd birthday on the space station...
