The ancient land of Lixian County, since the Yellow Emperor and the Huang Dynasty divided the wild states, has gone through various dynasties.

When Tang (Yao) was here, it was Ji Prefecture (冀州), Yu (舜) was Youzhou (幽州), Xia Shang was Ji Prefecture (冀州), and after the Zhou Dynasty destroyed Shang, it was subordinated to Liwu Prefecture (蠡吾地).

In the Spring and Autumn Period, it belonged to the Yan Kingdom.

The Warring States first belonged to the Zhongshan Kingdom, and then to the Zhao State.

In the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Shanggu County.

In the early Western Han Dynasty, due to the Qin system, Gaozu was in the twelfth year (195 BC) and belonged to Zhuo County, the State of Yan. In the third year of Emperor Jing's reign (154 BC), Lu Cheng first belonged to the State of Zhongshan and then to Zhuo Commandery (涿郡), and in the second year of Emperor Yuanshuo's reign (127 BC), he made Prince Zhen of Zhongshan a prince of Zhongshan and belonged to Zhuo Commandery (涿郡).

The Eastern Han Dynasty Province was incorporated into Liwu County, and its seat of government was in present-day Li Village, Boye County, which belonged to Zhuo County. In the second year of Emperor Yongyuan (90 years), it was transferred to the Hejian State. In the seventh year (113) of Emperor An's reign, Liu Yi (Emperor Huan's father) was made the Marquis of Liwu, and Emperor Yongjian of Shun was made a marquis in the fifth year (130).

In the first year of the Eastern Han Dynasty (146), the former land of Liwu County was established as Boling County, which belonged to the Hejian State. In the first year of Yanxi (158), it was more subordinate to Boling County, and the county administration was in Boling County. At the end of Jian'an (219), it was restored to Hejian County.

In the first year of the Three Kingdoms Wei Xianxi (264), Boling County was renamed Bolu County, which was subordinate to Hejian County.

In the first year of the reign of Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty (265), the county followed the Wei title, and the prefectures of Hejian and Zhuo (涿郡) were placed in the state of Gaoyang and ruled by the state.

In the first year (500) of the Northern and Southern Dynasties of Wei Jingming, Bolu County was renamed Boye County, and moved to Chengguan, Li County, under the jurisdiction of Gaoyang County. During the Northern Qi Dynasty, Liwu County (present-day Boye) was incorporated into Boye County (present-day Li County).

In the third year of the Sui Kai Emperor (583), Boye County was changed to Yingzhou (present-day Hejian County), and in the third year of Daye (607), it was transferred to Hejian County.

In the fourth year of Tang Gaozu Wude (621), Boye County was changed to Pu Prefecture (治高阳). In the fifth year (622), Li Prefecture was established and administered Boye County. In the eighth year (625), Lizhou was abolished, and Boye still belonged to Puzhou. In the ninth year (626), Li Prefecture was restored, and Boye remained subordinate to it. In the first year of Emperor Taizong's reign (627), it was changed to Yingzhou. In the first year of Emperor Xuanzong's reign (742), he was transferred to Hejian Commandery (河間郡). In the second year of Emperor Suzong's reign (757), it was restored to Yingzhou. During the reign of Emperor Yongtai (765-766), it was changed to Shenzhou. Xianzong Yuan and the Tenth Year (815) were still part of Yingzhou, and later restored to Shenzhou. After the Tang Qingtai three years (936) November, did not lie in the Khitans.

Later, in the sixth year of Xiande (959), it was transferred to Dingzhou in May.

In the fourth year (987) of Emperor Taizong of Song, he placed a border army in Boye County. In the first year of Zhenzong Jingde's reign (1004), it was changed to the Yongning Army. In the seventh year (1125) of Emperor Xuanhe's reign, the Yongning army was abolished, and soon restored, still leading Boye County.

In the first year of Jing Kang (1126), the county border fell to Jin.

In the seventh year of Emperor Taizong's reign (1129), the Yongning army was elevated to Ningzhou, and Boye remained subordinate to it. In the third year (1151) of King Tiande of Hailing, Ningzhou was restored to Lizhou.

In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty (1266), the eastern border of Boye County (about present-day Li County) was incorporated into Li Prefecture, and the western border (about present-day Boye County) was transferred to Puyin County (Qi Prefecture), which was subordinate to Zhending Road. Shizu to Yuanzhong was transferred to Baoding Road. In the seventeenth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1280), Lizhou was directly subordinate to the Zhongshu Provincial Department. Twenty-one years (1284) is still true.

In July of the second year of the Ming Dynasty (1369), Lizhou was changed to Baoding Province. In the first month of the eighth year (1375), Li Prefecture was demoted to Li County. In the first month of the same year, Gaoyang County was incorporated into Li County. Thirteen years (1380) In November, Gaoyang County was reorganized.
