Subsequently, with basically no rest, she threw herself into the inspection of hundreds of inspection materials. In the end, the suspect pleaded guilty in front of the evidence, and the case was solved in 12 hours.
Talking about the most memorable experience since she started her career, Yu Mengyi pondered for a moment and told reporters with a solemn look that it was the experience of identifying the victims of the traffic accident in the Yixing section of the 9.28 Long-Shenzhen Expressway two years ago. "At 10:00 a.m. on September 28, my colleagues and I arrived at the scene of the highway crash, and there were large areas of blood on the road, mutilated limbs and broken arms everywhere, and many mobile phones scattered on the ground kept ringing, most likely from the relatives and friends of the victims. That was the first time I felt particularly powerless, life was really too fragile. Recalling the fierceness of the scene, Yu Mengyi had a little choking. In order to confirm all the information of the deceased as quickly as possible and give an account to the deceased life, Yu Mengyi and her colleagues once again opened the "overnight combat" mode. Sampling, comparing family identification information, communicating with other working group members, issuing cremation orders... It was late at night on the 30th. "Looking back now, the intensity of working for three days and two nights in a row was indeed quite large, but at that time, I only wanted to confirm the identity information as soon as possible and comfort the deceased, and I didn't even feel tired and tired." Usually, in the DNA laboratory, Yu Mengyi's work mainly includes DNA analysis and sample detection in contact cases. Such cases occur almost every day, and at most, Yu Mengyi has to analyze and test dozens of large and small cases in a day. "Doing DNA experiments is actually a tedious and long process, you need to compare them repeatedly, one link is tied to one link, it is a test of patience, and every time you start experimenting, you will hold the determination to die with the massive information of the DNA library." Yu Mengyi said frankly.
