She is gao Xinyu, a national advanced worker, a second-level heroic model of the national public security system, a national pacesetter of "building meritorious service", and the leader of the DNA testing brigade of the criminal technology detachment of the Qiqihar City Public Security Bureau.

She chose the forensic profession

In 1967, Gao Xinyu was born in Qiqihar Keshan County, an introverted personality, but she was very liked by the teacher, saying that she had a tenacity, did not accept defeat, as long as she looked for things, she would be able to do a good job. In 1985, she was admitted to the Forensic Science Department of China Medical University with honors. In 1990, Gao Xinyu graduated, and compared with many glamorous and well-paid positions, Gao Xinyu chose to become a forensic doctor in the Qiqihar City Public Security Bureau.

Just arrived at the unit, the leader and colleagues muttered in their hearts, Qiqihar has never had a female forensic doctor, this quiet girl, can she do a good forensic job? The first time he went out on the scene, he gave Gao Xinyu a dismount. It was a traffic accident, the body was crushed into a "meat cake" by a truck, and the strong stimulation made Gao Xinyu not close her eyes for a night, but her heart was secretly fighting, and she could not let people look down.

She humbly consulted, read more and did more, sometimes carrying a survey box, running around the scene of various cases, sometimes wearing a white coat, holding a kit, lying in the laboratory, looking for clues about criminals in front of the report sheet.

She was 24 years old the year of the big crime

In 1991, the "10.26" series of homicides, robberies and rapes that shocked the whole country occurred in Nehe City. Gao Xinyu said that she remembered that it was very cold that day, and received a call at five o'clock in the evening, asking her to rush to the Scene immediately. It was already midnight when we reached the Nehe River, and a team of 10 forensic doctors from the Provincial Public Security Department, the Qiqihar City Bureau and the nehe area was the first to be responsible for the exhumation of the body.

That morning, Gao Xinyu saw the most horrific scene she had ever seen in her career. In the six-meter-deep vegetable cellar of the criminal Jia Mouge's family, the victim's body has been piled up to the top, and the indescribable stench has not dissipated for a long time, and the mask does not work at all.

When the bodies and human remains were removed from the cellar, the forensic work entered the dissection phase, right in the courtyard. Outdoors at minus 20 degrees, Gao Xinyu and her colleagues wore thin latex gloves, frozen to the point of not being able to take a scalpel, so they put their hands into the hot water basin from time to time to warm up and then continue to dissect. As an important basis and step for the later identification of the corpse, the forensic doctors need to take tools to clean up the tendon tissue in the skull, and then put them in boiling water. But with dozens of corpses, the forensic doctors had to prop up five or six large iron pots in the courtyard at the same time, which was undoubtedly extremely frightening for a girl in her early twenties.

Dissecting corpses during the day and writing autopsy reports at night, working nearly 20 hours a day, a full 20 days. In more than 20 days, forensic doctors dissected and examined the bodies of 42 victims, laying a solid foundation for the smooth development of the investigation of the case. "This experience of joining the war made me realize the cruelty of crime and the hardships of forensics before my peers." Gao Xinyu said meaningfully.

She relied on science to solve the mystery of the petition case

In the winter of 2006, a murder occurred in Jianhua District, Qiqihar City, the daughter fell at the door and had vital signs, the wife fell on the living room sofa and the body was not decayed, the husband lay on the bed and the body decayed to form the "Giant View", and there was a small amount of blood at the scene.

"This is a remarriage and reorganization of the family, and all kinds of signs point to his killing, and the daughter Yu is seriously suspected." Gao Xinyu did not rush to conclusions, and through many tests and simulations, it was finally determined that the husband and wife died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

"The bed has been open with electric mattresses, and the high temperature has led to a high degree of decay in the husband's body, resulting in inconsistent death status of the husband and wife. The daughter inhaled less carbon monoxide in the middle of the room, and when she called out for help, she fell by the door and broke her head to produce blood. ”

"The difference between criminal and civil is one word, but the result is a world of difference." Gao Xinyu said, "In the autopsy, even a little negligence will cause a tragedy of 'the wrongs of the deceased have not yet snowed, and the grievances of the living have become', and we must be cautious." ”

She was past the year she set up the DNA lab

In the second half of 2009, Gao Xinyu, who had worked on the forensic front for more than 20 years, suddenly received a new task - to prepare for the construction of the DNA laboratory of the Qiqihar Municipal Public Security Bureau and undertake the inspection and identification work.

To give up her original major and start from scratch is a huge challenge for her who has reached the age of confusion. However, with that tenacity, Gao Xinyu was both a commander and a combatant, and while busy with the construction of the DNA laboratory, he used his spare time to learn DNA testing techniques and related theories, and went to the genetics room of the Criminal Technology Corps of the Provincial Public Security Department many times to study. In less than 3 months, she mastered the knowledge and skills that many people need to master for half a year, obtained DNA testing qualifications, and the DNA laboratory of Qiqihar City Bureau was officially put into practical application at the end of that year.

In the 12 years since the establishment of the DNA Testing Brigade, Gao Xinyu led the team to accept more than 8,000 cases of various types, and through DNA testing, directly cracked more than 600 major cases such as the "2011.05.07" series of technical lock-opening gang theft cases and the "2012.10.04" Longjiang County Six-Mouth Murder Case, and more than 3,000 cases were broken, and at the same time, as the "load-bearing pillar" of public security work, it also provided more than 10,000 pieces of evidence for the litigation. The CONSTRUCTION OF THE DNA DATABASE RECORDED 437,000 SAMPLES, WHICH PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN CRACKING THE BACKLOG OF MURDER CASES AND THE "ROBBERY AND DECEPTION" BATTLE DEPLOYED BY THE MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SECURITY.

In February 2020, the DNA testing professional laboratory led by her was rated as a national key forensic identification professional laboratory by the Ministry of Public Security, ranking upstream in the construction level of municipal unit laboratories across the country.

Cultivating talents she is willing to be that paving stone

"A person is not strong, the team is really strong", it is precisely out of this concept that Gao Xinyu is conscientious and dedicated to building a technical team. She taught by example, starting from me, working hard around a "fast" word, highlighting a "quasi" word, combined with her own work practice, and published 21 academic papers in major journals.

Through years of hard work, nowadays, the DNA testing brigade has excellent quality and professional advantages, from the initial Gao Xinyu a light rod commander to a professional team of 8 people, 2 people have been selected into the national youth talent pool, written and published 2 national papers, 13 provincial papers. With her own practical actions, she has brought out a good team that can fight a hard battle, and has made outstanding contributions to the pioneering and innovation of public security criminal technology.

Over the years, with her practical experience in work, she patiently guided the young comrades around her, telling them which places were easier to extract DNA, and how to prevent DNA cross-contamination... And each appraisal must be carefully checked in person, and the places where deviations may occur are modified word by word, even punctuation.

In November 2020, Gao Xinyu won the title of National Advanced Worker, the only person in the Qiqihar Municipal Law System to receive this honor, and when she learned of this news, colleagues in the unit were happy for her, and she deserved this honor.

She is a criminal expert in the eyes of the leader, she is the Wonder Woman in the heart of her comrades-in-arms, she is not good at words, but she has repeatedly solved big cases, and she is a behind-the-scenes hero who has worked silently in the forensic position for 31 years. As Gao Xinyu said: "Forensic medicine is to speak for the deceased; doing DNA testing is to seek more truth" She guarded her original heart with ingenuity and cast the soul with loyalty.
