From January 24, civil aircraft will be allowed to carry passengers from outside China to Macau

Civil Aviation Resources Network January 21, 2022 news: On January 21, the Macao SAR Government's Coordination Center for Novel Coronavirus Infection Response (hereinafter referred to as the "Response Coordination Centre") issued a notice that, according to Announcement No. 009/A/SS/2022 of the Health Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region, from 00:00 on January 9, 2022 to 23:59 on January 23, 2022, civil aircraft from outside China will be prohibited from carrying passengers to Macao, and this measure will end at 23:59 on January 23, 2022. That is, from 00:00 on 24 January, civil aircraft will be allowed to carry passengers from outside China to Macau, but persons coming to Macao from outside China will still be required to comply with the existing nucleic acid and COVID-19 vaccination requirements, such as before the first flight from a foreign direct flight to Macau or a connecting flight:

1) Persons departing from very high-risk countries (Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Turkey, the United States, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique or Malawi) must present proof of negative results of nucleic acid tests for the new coronavirus at least 24 hours in each of the 5 days, and undergo 28 days of centralized isolation medical observation after entering Macao;

2) Proof of negative nucleic acid test results of the new coronavirus must be sampled within 48 hours for persons departing from other foreign countries, and must be subjected to centralized isolation for medical observation for 21 days after entering Macao;

3) Persons aged 12 or above must present proof that the COVID-19 vaccine has been completed at least 14 days after the completion of the initial series of vaccinations and the last dose must be within 7 months;

The Response Coordination Centre reminds that if the above certificate is not presented, a doctor's certificate of incompatibility or inability to be vaccinated must be presented, and the relevant certificate must be for international travel purposes.
